  • A company registered in the United States of America is a convenient instrument for shareholding and real estate. However, any U.S. company (including a LLC) having bank accounts, securities accounts or other financial instruments must file by June 30 of each year with the US Department of Treasury a FBAR (Report on Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts). This is also called a form Fincen 114, and it indicates the disclosure of foreign accounts as well as accounts of its subsidiaries (i.e. companies where the U.S. company has interest of 50% or more) if the balances in such accounts exceeded USD 10,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) at any time in the previous year.
